Russell Seidelman

Russell is one of three people in his family who have worked in higher education, so it was no surprise that his first “real” job, after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, was in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at Park University in Parkville, MO. While working at Park University, Russell obtained his Master of Business Administration.
Like many before him, Russell followed the Oregon Trail from Missouri to Oregon. He now lives in Portland with his wife and two kids. Russell spent nearly 15 years in the Office of Financial Aid at the University of Portland before joining Bright Horizons College Coach. Starting off as Office Manager, Russell worked his way up to Assistant Director of Financial Aid – Outreach, where he specialized in working with disadvantaged populations. He was also active in the Oregon financial aid community, volunteering for the state financial aid association in several leadership roles and presenting on financial aid throughout the state.
